The image used in this composition are abstract local water scenes, which have been carefully spliced into vertical columns. They are then interlaced with one another to create a singular gesture, reflecting a calming depiction of the surrounding shores. The vertical-striated rhythm created from the imagery is also expressed sculpturally as acrylic strips that are pinned inches off the wall, giving the piece dimensionality and colorful shadows.
